I was born and raised in LA where I studied psychology before becoming a fashion model, which took me around the world. Later, I found myself more interested in being behind the camera than in front of it. I took up photography and discovered that I was good at it. I worked for German and French Vogue, The Sunday Times and Hello! magazine, shooting lifestyle and portraiture editorials. At the same time I started to work in the motion picture industry in Hollywood. I was fortunate enough to work with such prestigious directors as Oliver Stone, Woody Allen, Christopher Nolan and John Landis, where I learnt to hone my skills with film and video cameras.
A few years ago, I decided to give up my hectic lifestyle in Hollywood and move to Spain with my daughter to bring her up in a more relaxed atmosphere. There I teamed up with longtime friend Jasper Hawker to form a production company, Scottdelamoweddings.com, dedicated to weddings. Recently I moved to Cardiff, Wales so that my daughter can attend a Welsh school. I am living and working between, Spain, UK and Hawaii.
Shooting weddings is as demanding as any other field of professional photography and video recording, if not more so. You only get one chance to get it right, and with my experience I know how to get great looking images from a major production - your wedding. I love shooting weddings and look forward to each and everyone as a new, special experience.

Scott del Amo is a creative documentary style wedding and portrait photographer as well as a videographer located in Southern Spain and Cardiff, Wales.
